Meet Our Team
We Are Exulting Images
Dancers Photographing Dancers
The Exulting Images team is comprised of passionate professionals who either once were or still are active in the world of dance. Together, we represent more than 60 years of dance experience. We see the beauty, understand the freedom, and appreciate the art of dance, and – even after more than a decade behind the lens – we are awe-struck by the poise, precision, strength and power we are privileged to witness every day. Our team have clean backgrounds and certifications to ensure safety with your dancer.
On behalf of Team ei, thank you for the opportunity to serve as your supporting role.
President & Lead Photographer
Mike Farella
Mike has been a professional digital photographer since 2008. At the onset of his photography career he shot a variety of subject matter, from weddings and sporting events to family portraits and dance recitals. Having danced professionally for 16 years though, including 10 years at Disney World, he was quick to discover his heart for dance photography. What started as a self-taught hobby fueled by his innate creativity has revealed itself to be his bonafide destiny. Today, Mike is an award-winning photographer who has studied under and alongside the most elite dance photographers in the world. Together with his wife Julia, Mike owns and operates Exulting Images, a regionally-unique and nationally-recognized dance photography company.
Studio Manager & Photographer
Jennifer Kight
Jennifer’s love of dance began at age five and blossomed into a career of competitive and concert dance. For college, she moved from her hometown to Rock Hill, SC to attend Winthrop University. Until that point, photography had been just a hobby, but with formal training came a commitment to the artform and a love for combining it with dance. Jennifer majored in Dance Performance and minored in Photography and joined the ei family not long after graduation. Her more than 20 years of dance experience shines through her photography. Her passion is held in event photography, specifically Posed Portraits, as it allows her to revisit some of her favorite childhood memories.
Event Coordinator
Jenny Pack
Jenny’s journey into dance photography began at 4 years old in her first ballet class. From there, she spent years as a competitive dancer at her small-town Pennsylvania dance studio, became a choreographer for her Penn State lyrical team, and a dance teacher at local dance studio here in South Carolina. Event Coordinating for Exulting Images takes her knowledge and skills built from each step of her dance career and melds them together beautifully. From the dancer, to the teacher, to the photographer, she has perspectives from every role! Jenny is thrilled to still be a part of the dance community, helping show dancers the beauty they possess. For all things Posed Recitals and Live Action Events- she’s your girl!
Dance is movement, and movement is life.
