About Exulting Images
Our Approach
Professional. Personal. Fun.
Exulting Images is the premier dance photography company of the Charlotte, NC region. We offer Creative, Themed, and Outdoor sessions, along with Posed Portraits and Live Action events. Our team is qualified and equipped to deliver the diversity of products and services of large photography companies without losing the personalization and family dynamic that has become the hallmark of an ei experience.
We’re not raising the bar, we’re creating it.
Dancer First Philosophy
Our top priority is always the health, safety and well being of the dancers we serve.
Before we were photographers, we were dancers. We have been in the shoes of those we photograph, and we speak the same language. We understand what each dancer is capable of and we know how to distill their best performance into spectacular split-second moments, frozen in time.
We are steadfast in ensuring every dancer in our studio feels:
PREPARED
We personalize all aspects of the session to ensure the dancer’s goals and objectives are met, and expectations are exceeded. We discuss all logistics ahead of time, including poses, wardrobe and set design, so everyone begins on the same page.
COMFORTABLE
From the temperature of the room and the music overhead, to stocking favorite snacks and having a variety of refreshments on hand, we ensure every dancer – no matter their age or experience level – feels cared for during their photography session.
CONFIDENT
Our goals are the same: to capture images that are representative of the dancer’s best effort. We are strategic in our process, being careful not to fatigue the dancer, and our full set features a sprung floor for safety and performance. We are intentional with our words, making sure to elevate and honor the dancer and to maintain a positive working environment.
EMPOWERED
Every photo session is collaborative. Both the dancer and their guest – usually a parent – have a clear view of a TV monitor so that they see exactly what the photographer sees. When given direction or notes for correction, the dancer sees the impact of their adjustments. Dancers are empowered to self-correct and to vocalize what’s working and not from their perspective.
SAFE
We believe safety matters. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and physically safe. Wardrobe transitions take place in a private dressing room and any pose corrections that require physical adjustment are facilitated by a team member of the dancer’s gender. Every ei employee is subject to a thorough background check prior to joining the team. Two or more ei team members are always present in the studio.
